Ener-G-Rotors, Inc., a pioneer in economical, distributed, waste heat to power, received the top prize, the Best Venture Award, at the 2013 Industry Growth Forum, sponsored by the National Renewable Energy Lab. After hearing business case presentations from 30 clean energy companies, NREL singled out Ener-G-Rotors for the 2013 Clean Energy Venture Award.
For over twenty years, the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s (NREL’s) Industry Growth Forum has been the nation’s premier clean energy investment event. The Forum features presentations from emerging clean energy companies, provocative panels, one-on-one meetings, and organized networking opportunities.
Ener-G-Rotors’ technology, the ORCA™ system, uses organic Rankine cycle technology to covert low grade waste heat into clean power. The ORCA™ solution is economical, distributed, modular, easy to install, and non-disruptive to process producing the waste heat. The system effectively capture waste heat from stationary engines, CHP systems, and industrial processes, saving customers’ money, increasing energy efficiency, and lowering emissions with paybacks as short as two years.
